Slower strokes and a heavier pressure is applied by the therapist to target deeper muscle groups after first warming the softer superficial tissues. Neuromuscular Massage Therapy (NMT) is a very specialized for of massage. Our therapist are educated in the physiology of the nervous system and its effect on the muscular and skeletal systems. NMT uses static pressure on the specific trigger points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and connective tissue) to balance the central nervous system. This particular technique is beneficial for repetitive motion and accumulative traumas such as sciatic, rotator cuff dysfunction, migraines and many more.
Hot Stone Massage
Placing and kneading hot stones over muscles helps increase an areas circulation and blood flow to stimulate healing to painful or damaged muscles. The deep tissue massage and heat of the stones also aid in the ability to move toxins and waste through the body.
